Mark Zhou is a principal .NET developer and a professional singer. He started to play programming since 1994 when he was in elementary school. Started from MS-DOS 3.1 and QBASIC, then Visual Basic 6.0, C, then Visual Basic .NET and C#; from ASP, HTML 4, JScript to ASP.NET, HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript (ECMAScript 5); from SQL Server to SQL Azure; from Windows desktop to mobile apps. Mark has more than 10 years' experience on the Microsoft® .NET® technology and nearly 20 years' experience on programming.

In his professional career, Mark has been with Heading Inc (Simplified Chinese), an ISV on retailer and supply chain, Beyondsoft Corporation, an software outsourcing company mainly dealing with Microsoft, Xuenn Pte Ltd, a sports book software company, and finally, Microsoft Corporation, the leading software, device and services company in the world.

Mark is very good at singing. He was invited to perform on the 2008 Microsoft Chinese New Year Gala sponsored by Chinese Microsoft Employee Association (CHIME) in Great Seattle Area in U.S; in Feb 2012 and Feb 2013, he also performed singing on the platform of the Microsoft Engineering, Community and Onlie (ECO) Global All Hands Party. In November 2012, Mark has been awarded as the champion of the Shanghai Zizhu Talent Show, by his perfect singing of the theme song of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games "You and Me."
